Cyber Security Analyst I

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce's client is looking for a Cyber Security Engineer in Houston, TX. The Cyber Security Engineer is responsible for implementing and maintaining security measures to protect the organization's systems and data. This role focuses on identifying vulnerabilities, managing risks, configuring security tools, and supporting incident response efforts.

Key Responsibilities:
* Identity and Access Management (IAM): Support IAM initiatives with expertise in Azure SSO and Okta
* Vulnerability Management: Identify, track, and prioritize security risks
* Collaborate with IT and development teams to ensure timely resolution
* Maintain and configure security tools such as IDS/IPS, endpoint protection, and SIEM systems
* Support incident response activities, including investigation, containment, and reporting of security incidents
* Assist in developing, implementing, and enforcing security policies and procedures
* Perform routine audits to ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory requirements
* Research and stay informed about current cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and best practices
* Document and maintain records of security incidents, configurations, and system changes
* Provide technical guidance to IT staff on security-related issues
* Apply best practices for network, endpoint, cloud, and application security

REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Cyber Security, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent work experience
* Certifications such as Security+, CEH, or CySA+ preferred but not required
* 2-5 years of experience in cyber security or related roles
* Strong knowledge of security tools, technologies, and best practices
* Solid understanding of networking, operating systems, and cloud security concepts
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
* Ability to work collaboratively and communicate technical concepts effectively

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
