Python/PySpark Developer Location: onsite McLean, VA
Duration: 3 Months with opportunity for an extension

Job Description:
We are looking for a Python/PySpark Developer to support a data modernization project. The role involves developing microservices using Python, PySpark, AWS EKS, and AWS Postgres. The candidate will analyze existing systems, perform functional and data analysis, and document technical requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop microservices using Python, PySpark, AWS EKS, and AWS Postgres.
  • Perform system, functional, and data analysis and prepare requirement documentation.
  • Work with current systems (Informatica, SAS, AutoSys, DB2) to support migration.
  • Write automated tests using Behave/Cucumber and PyTest.
  • Ensure code quality, performance tuning, and scalability.
  • Use Docker, Jenkins, SonarQube, and Fortify for DevOps and CI/CD.
  • Collaborate with business teams to analyze BRS documents and create data mappings.
  • Support reporting application development and data analysis.
  • Work in an Agile environment and maintain technical documentation.

Must Have Qualifications:

  • Strong experience with Python/PySpark microservices, AWS EKS, Postgres, Behave/Cucumber, and PyTest.
  • Hands-on experience with Snowflake, Jenkins, SonarQube, and Fortify.
  • Knowledge of DevOps, Docker, and Agile methodologies.
