Manages and develops network operations activities. Evaluates ongoing and future infrastructure needs; and recommends changes. Oversees the day-to-day performance and activities of the team, including Network Engineers/Network Administrators to ensure service quality and network efficiency.

Qualifications
The Network Operations Lead highly desired qualifications are:
An Active Secret clearance is required for consideration.
Relevant certifications such as ITIL v3, CCNA, CCNP or CCIE.
Bachelor's degree in related technical field such as Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, IT, Networking and Telecommunications.
A minimum of ten (10) Plus years of senior level networking experience administering enterprise infrastructures in large complex enterprises.
Working knowledge of networking concepts, infrastructure, and equipment (e.g. routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers).
Experience implementing and administering an enterprise-wide monitoring system for servers, networking devices, and applications.
Showcase leadership abilities by managing projects and teams.
Be proficient in project management and have knowledge of security and compliance issues.

Responsibilities
- Develops and implements department strategic plans, processes, and procedures; and enhances the integration between the team and other departments.
- Manages the budget and leads improvements and growth to the network operations processes and capabilities. Ensures changes to the network infrastructure plans.
- Improves customer service; provides expert guidance; and ensures the correct technical teams are involved. Comprehensive knowledge of the field's concepts and principles.
- Leads and directs the work of other employees and has full authority for personnel decisions. Administers departmental policies and procedures, evaluates results and performance, and assists with the development of new or modified budgets, strategic plans, or policies.
- Provides technical guidance for directing and monitoring information systems operations.
- Plans, organizes, and directs the Network Operations Team to ensure the stable operation of CBP's network infrastructure. Responsible for maintaining, supporting, and optimizing key functional areas, particularly network infrastructure, server infrastructure, network security, telecommunications systems and service desk.
- Responsible for managing and setting priorities for the monitoring and maintenance of network systems, including LANs, WANs, Internet, intranet, and wireless.
- Responsible for managing and setting priorities for the Network Management Operations team. Provides support to CBP end users, operations personnel, and strategic program management.
- Ensures effective monitoring and response to hardware, software, and network problems.
- Coordinates and manages the routine testing and analysis of all elements of the network facilities.
- The Network Operations Team Lead will also schedule and direct activities to resolve hardware and software problems in a timely and accurate fashion.
