Position: Senior Product Designer - UX

Location: Chicago, IL or Quincy, IL Hybrid (onsite once a week on Wednesdays)

Duration: Contract 12 - month contract

Job Description:

Basic Qualifications:

• At least 5 years of experience as a user experience designer, interaction designer, information architect, service design, or similar role.
• Experience working with or conducting your own research, presenting results & acting on those results.
• Bachelor's degree in design, human-computer interaction (HCI), or equivalent professional experience.
• Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, etc., & understanding of front-end development technologies.

• Navigates constraints & complexity with autonomy while maintaining composure, pushing back diplomatically, & applying the right UX methods & rigor accordingly.
• Excellent critical thinking & analytical skills to unpack the problem space.

• Effective at collaborating closely with cross - functional partners in design, research, product management & engineering.
• Organized, driven & excited about designing the future of online grocery.

• Excels in working through all phases of design from research through ideation, wireframing, visual design & prototyping.
• Is energized by problem - solving, overcoming complex challenges & loves to develop solutions for difficult problems.
• Stays on top of emerging design trends, methods, & patterns.
• A proven track record of producing outstanding business results through design.
• A strong portfolio that demonstrates systematic & creative design thinking as well as a deep understanding of UX / UI best practices.
• Ability to drive the design review cycle & close on design requirements independently.
• Anticipates technical considerations when designing.
• Experience with online ecommerce & transactional experiences.
• Experience designing for native mobile apps.
• Experience working with design systems & adapting white label solutions for multiple brand applications.
