  • Knowledge of structural, mechanical, electrical, or civil drafting principles.
  • Proficiency in 3D rendering and visualization software (e.g., Blender, SketchUp, Navisworks).
  • Experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems.
  • Familiarity with automated CAD scripting or parametric modeling.
  • Background in manufacturing, construction, or engineering industries.
  • Experience in rapid prototyping and 3D printing technologies.

Typical Education and Years of Experience:
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Drafting, CAD Design, Engineering Technology, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in CAD design or drafting in a relevant industry (e.g., mechanical, civil, electrical, or architectural engineering).
  • Equivalent industry experience may be considered in place of formal education.

Typical Certifications:
  • Certified CAD Professional (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Revit Certification) - Required.
  • Certified Drafter (American Design Drafting Association - ADDA) - Preferred.
