Job Description

Job Title: Infrastructure Architect Developer Experience Platform Overview We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Architect (On-site) to lead the infrastructure architecture, automation, and performance engineering aspects of our Developer Experience Platform, which includes a unified Developer Portal, Virtual Test Environments (ARM & x86), and seamless integration with CI/CD pipelines.

The Infrastructure Architect will partner closely with the Solution Architect, Cloud teams, and Customer Architects to define a robust, scalable, and secure infrastructure strategy. The role combines hands-on cloud expertise, modern DevOps practices, and development skills in GoLang and TypeScript to ensure that the infrastructure components integrate seamlessly with platform services and developer workflows.

  • Key Responsibilities Infrastructure & Cloud Architecture Design and maintain a multi-tenant, highly available, and scalable infrastructure on AWS and Kubernetes. Define cloud resource models, networking topology, and security standards for large-scale developer environments.
  • Lead the adoption of Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using Terraform or CloudFormation. Architect solutions for ARM/x86 virtual test environments integrated with CI/CD and developer workflows. Automation & DevOps Enablement Drive the automation of environment provisioning, scaling, and monitoring for development and test pipelines. Implement and optimize CI/CD integrations (GitLab, Jenkins, ArgoCD, Octopus Deploy).
  • Develop custom automation scripts and tools using GoLang and TypeScript, ensuring seamless infrastructure-developer collaboration.
  • Establish performance benchmarks and implement proactive capacity planning.
  • Observability & Reliability Define observability frameworks (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, CloudWatch) for infrastructure and virtualized workloads.
  • Collaborate with product and DevOps teams to build self-healing systems and proactive monitoring.
  • Enable predictive insights through logs, metrics, and distributed tracing.
  • Security & Compliance Implement cloud security controls, RBAC policies, and network segmentation.
  • Collaborate with InfoSec teams to ensure compliance with enterprise and regulatory standards.
  • Regularly conduct infrastructure audits and threat modelling.
  • Leadership & Collaboration Work closely with customer architecture teams to align infrastructure direction with platform strategy.
  • Provide technical leadership to onshore and offshore DevOps and Infra teams. Mentor engineers on modern cloud and DevOps practices.
  • Participate in PI planning, architectural reviews, and roadmap discussions.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 10+ years of IT experience with strong expertise in Cloud and Infrastructure Architecture.
  • Proven hands-on experience with AWS services (EC2, EKS, VPC, IAM, S3, CloudWatch, Lambda).
  • Strong knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, and container networking.
  • Deep understanding of CI/CD pipelines and environment automation. Proficiency in GoLang and TypeScript for automation and integration scripts.
  • Experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible for IaC.
  • Strong understanding of multi-tenancy, scalability, and reliability engineering.
  • Familiarity with Linux environments (Ubuntu, Red Hat, Debian) and virtualization concepts. Excellent collaboration and communication skills for working with cross-functional and customer-facing teams.

Preferred Qualifications

AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional (preferred) or Associate.

Exposure to monitoring and observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, CloudWatch).

Experience working with developer enablement platforms or internal developer portals. Knowledge of ARM/x86 virtualization, kernel tuning, or emulation tools (QEMU/KVM).
