Description
SAIC is seeking a .Net Developer located in Pensacola, FL.
This position will be supporting Training & Education Management Systems for Naval Education and Training Command (NETC). The roles primary focus is with Navy Enlisted Advancement System (NEAS).
The NEAS Software Developer Will Require:
- High-quality software engineering advisory services, software systems planning, integration, and architecture support
- Comprehensive support, maintenance, and enhancement of software using a technology stack that includes AWS technologies, Visual Studio/C#, JavaScript, SQL Server databases
- Fixing bugs, converting, and upgrading legacy code to new technologies, and developing new software features
- Develop and maintain unit tests to ensure the reliability and correctness of software code
- Participate with production deployment process, release planning, creating documents for the release, and creating scripts for the release
- Perform environment Integration testing, such as development, staging and production environment to assure that all functionalities work as expected
- Follows and ensures the system is maintained in accordance with all DoD standards
- ATO controls are met through all phases of the SDLC, to include adding tools to conduct static and dynamic application security testing
- Support software development and integration efforts while adhering to government guidance for strategy, planning, documentation, and implementation
- Implement STIGs and maintain artifacts to ensure an authority to operate (ATO) exists for the system
- Maintain SQL Server databases used by the NEAS application
- Conducts hardware and software audits of workstations and servers to ensure compliance with established standards, policies, and configuration guidelines
Qualifications
Required Experience, Certification, and Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in Software Engineering, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, or Computer Science, from an ABET accredited or NCAE-C designated institution - or - two (2) years of experience with a CSSLP, GSEC, or CISSP-ISSAP - or - previous DoD/Military course completion of M09CVQ1, M03385G, M10395B, M223854, or M0923W1
Required Skills:
- Hands-on experience with software development in Visual Studio/C# and JavaScript/JQuery
- Cloud-based development experience, preferably in AWS GovCloud
- Proficiency in SQL
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
- Knowledge of JavaScript libraries and frameworks
Additional Desired Certifications:
- AWS Cloud Practitioner certification
Clearance Required:
- Must have a Secret security clearance. Requirement may be waived by the customer to an Interim Secret for strong candidates
Desired Skills:
- Experience in DevSecOps best practices, software development life cycles, automation toolchains and CI/CD pipeline
- Experience with building and working with container images
- Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with technical and non-technical cross-functional teams
