In this role, you will dedicate 70% of your time to programming on Esprit, focusing on process improvement for parts and programs. You will explore more efficient methods to run parts and spend 30% of your time operating machines and running parts. Your tasks will include writing new programs and enhancing existing ones in Esprit for all Citizen machinery. You will primarily work with aluminum and some precious metals, inputting metal into the vise and ensuring the machine operates correctly. You will also perform visual inspections of parts using general quality equipment such as micrometers, pin gauges, and calipers. Additionally, you will work off blueprints for repeat jobs.
Responsibilities
- Program and improve processes on Esprit for Citizen machinery.
- Spend 30% of time operating machines and running parts.
- Write and improve programs for efficiency.
- Work with aluminum and precious metals.
- Input metal into vise and ensure proper machine operation.
- Conduct visual inspections using micrometers, pin gauges, and calipers.
- Work from blueprints on repeat jobs.
Essential Skills
- 2+ years of CNC Swiss Programming experience
- Experience with Esprit software
- Proficiency in utilizing blueprints
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Technical Degree in Machine Tool Technology is a plus
- Experience with CNC operation and machining
- Familiarity with calipers, micrometers, and lathe operations
- Knowledge of G&M codes, G code, and GD&T

Work Environment
Work in a small, wide-open shop equipped with newer Haas Mill machines and Citizen Swiss machines, rated 7.5/10 for cleanliness. The equipment includes an older horizontal Haas Mill. The shop specializes in government projects, providing unique and engaging work opportunities.

This is a Direct Hire position based out of Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $41.00/hr.
