Description
SAIC is seeking a Business Analyst to join our software development team supporting one of our esteemed government agency customers. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, effective communication abilities, and a solid understanding of software development processes.

Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand objectives, pain points, and evolving user preferences.
- Gather and refine software requirements, and translate them into clear, actionable user stories, including acceptance criteria.
- Work closely with software developers, UI/UX designers, and testers to ensure the software requirements are properly understood and implemented.
- Act as a liaison between business users, product owners, and technical teams to align expectations, priorities, and project goals.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Support the creation and maintenance of user guides, training materials, and system documentation to ensure end-users have up-to-date and clear instructions.
- Continuously identify opportunities to enhance software development processes, tools, and technologies.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree and 5 years or more of related experience; (4 years' experience in lieu of degree).
- Ability to obtain and maintain an Active Secret clearance requiring ship.
- Hands on experience as an Agile Business Analyst.
- Proficiency in JIRA and Confluence.
- Expertise with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong understanding of Scrum concepts and methodologies.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Desired:
- Basic understanding of API integrations, data mapping, or system migrations.
- Experience with SQL, data analysis, or reporting tools is a plus.
