Job Description:

The Principal Data Architect will have responsibility for partnering across the organization to take new products/solutions from inception to scalable, compliant systems including designing, implementing, and managing the data infrastructure. The Data Architect must also have an understanding of modern data architecture strategies, a vision for proper data management, system design, and will help drive strategies around implementing and improving data activities utilizing modern tools.

Job Duties -

• Lead the design and implementation of cloud-based data architecture that aligns with organizational goals and customer needs.
• Identify data silo and fragmentation elements to be refactored into micro segmentation bounded contexts.
• Develop and manage ETL processes to enable reliable data transfer and transformation across various systems.
• Build and optimize data models, schemas, and databases.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to collect requirements and translate them into technical solutions within the Azure ecosystem.
• Optimize and maintain data warehouse solutions to support business intelligence and reporting needs.
• Explore and integrate new Azure data services and tools to enhance analytics and data visualization capabilities.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to data engineers and developers on Azure best practices and technologies."

Job Requirements -

• 10+ years as a Solutions Architect with recent hands on development experience
• 5+ years in a lead or principal role as a Tech Lead
• 5+ years cloud experience (Azure, Amazon, Google); Azure is a plus
• 5+ years working in an Agile environment
• Newco / 0-to-1 product build-out experience / Technical build out of POCs (Proof of Concepts) / Directly engaging with business owners/executives to define the vision
• Advanced knowledge of distributed software systems, design patterns and data architecture principles / Understanding of modern data architecture strategies
• Experience with cloud-based data platforms such as Databricks
• Platform selection
• Data pipelines, and integration with ERP systems (such as SAP)
• Significant Data Ingestion and ETL experience
• Data Warehousing, Data Repositories & Analytics"

Desired Skills & Experience -

• Azure is a plus
• Experience with healthcare transaction sets or other highly regulated field a plus"
