Job Details
Position: Data Engineer
Location - San Francisco, CA - Onsite
Tech Stack Needed: SQL (preferably Redshift, Snowflake, BigQuery), SQL Queries, Familiarity with BI tools (preferably Looker, Mode, Tableau or equivalent), Python, ETL, Experience with the modern data stack (Fivetran / Snowflake / dbt / Looker / Hightouch or equivalents)

Ideal Candidate:
- Experience: 10 years in data engineering, analytics engineering, or software engineering, with a strong focus on building data infrastructure. 2-3+ YoE in data engineering is a MUST
- Technical Skills: Must be proficient in SQL (preferably with Snowflake, Redshift, or BigQuery) and familiar with BI tools like Looker or Tableau. Python is a nice to have
- Startup Background: Previous experience in an early-stage startup (Series B-C), ideally as a first data engineer or in a similar role, demonstrating the ability to build from the ground up. Former founders + fintech experience are a plus!
- Build foundational full-stack data infrastructure
- Develop ELT/ETL workflows (using tools like Fivetran) to ingest data from source systems into the Snowflake data warehouse. Ensuring reliable, automated pipelines.
- Design the warehouse schema and data models that represent our business (customers, transactions, events, etc.) and standardize metrics and dimensions company-wide.
- Create dashboards and reports that democratize access to data within the company
- Build user-facing in-app embedded dashboards
- Work closely with the product, engineering, finance and ops teams to build out product roadmaps and measure succes
