Title: Storage Engineer
Location: Remote, US
Duration: 6 months+
Compensation: $45/hr - $50/hr

Job Description:

Seeking to staff up a storage team.

Individuals should have experience with some or all of the following:

  • NAS Engineer, Identity, Automation (scripting) Engineers with the goal of self-serve automation
  • This is a remote role, team members that can work Central time zone hours are strongly preferred.
  • Experience with NetApp and Dell is required, along with those who have worked in large enterprise environments with a project management mindset towards getting things accomplished.
  • The right candidate will be a solid Storage Engineers with exceptional build and migration experience .
  • The client is moving off corporate platforms and into data centers. They will be moving storage from one location to the other, so migration experience is an absolute must.
Summary:
Seeking a Storage Engineer with technical expertise in NAS, Identity and Data Protection (Backup/Recovery) technologies.

Duties:

  • Evaluate existing platforms and determine best way to receive the operations of the systems
    • Feasibility of putting the device on more than one network and domain.
    • Assist with TSA exit strategy, technical and process documentation.
    • Itemized playbook for required changes and dependencies to take operational support.
  • Design and build new platforms
    • Design and build new storage platforms (potential need to migrate data) for new DC colo and other HC sites where necessary
    • Help ID how storage systems will be integrated into enterprise systems (e.g. monitoring/GEMS, ServiceNow/ITIL or CMDB, and other support tools/apps such as Tableau)
    • Provide ad hoc run support as needed until HC can establish a go forward run team
