Job Description
The Data Architect will be responsible for designing and implementing enterprise-level HR data architecture to support global analytics, KPIs, and reporting initiatives for a leading financial services client. This role requires translating complex HR business requirements into scalable, governed data solutions built on Snowflake and integrated with Workday and other HR systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architect and implement scalable Snowflake data models for HR analytics, workforce planning, and KPI dashboards.
- Develop and optimize data integrations between Workday, Snowflake, and downstream analytics platforms.
- Establish and enforce data governance, quality, and metadata management best practices.
- Maintain detailed documentation including data dictionaries and lineage across pipelines and transformations.
- Monitor, tune, and enhance ETL/ELT pipelines for performance and reliability.
- Collaborate with HR, Data Engineering, and Analytics teams to convert business rules into reusable data assets.
- Participate in unit, integration, and regression testing to validate data integrity.
- Provide lifecycle support including analysis, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement.
Required Experience & Skills:
- Hands-on experience architecting and implementing solutions on Snowflake or similar cloud data warehouse platforms.
- Advanced SQL with strong experience in data transformations and pipeline performance tuning.
- Strong knowledge of ETL/ELT frameworks, data validation, and reconciliation.
- Experience working with HR data domains and integrations with Workday or similar HRIS.
- Experience with Python for automation and data engineering tasks.
- Proven track record designing HR data warehouses and analytics platforms to drive business insights.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with SCD Type 2 and historical data modeling.
- Exposure to dbt, Tableau/Power BI, Data Vault, or Medallion architecture.
- Familiarity with HR compliance standards and operational processes.
- Experience working in cross-functional enterprise environments (HR, Finance, Technology).
