Summary of Key Duties for this position:
You will serve as a systems engineer on an Agile Scrum Team following core DevSecOps principles to rapidly integrate, test & deliver fully functioning mission capability to end users securely and continuously. Our team leverages industry standard open-source software solutions such as GitLab, Kubernetes, Docker, and Rancher to ensure high quality software is built into our continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines. Our automation-first and "everything as code" mindset allows our systems engineers to focus their time and efforts on what is most important - delivering cutting edge functionality for our end users. You will have the opportunity to develop comprehensive test plans and procedures, provide quality oversight for core workflow and new software capabilities, and execute high-visibility demonstrations to selloff mission functionality.
This position is in our Colorado Springs, Colorado location. Day Shift, flexible, 9x80 (Every other Friday off) schedule, and the ability to occasionally work from home.

Basic Qualifications
Recent Systems Engineering experience with one or more of the following: capability/feature development, systems test planning/execution, requirements analysis and verification, integration, etc.
Demonstrated experience and understanding working systems engineering efforts using Agile methods, processes, and practices
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills
Candidate must be eligible to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI government security clearance, but not required to start
Desired skills
Knowledge of the Space Domain (Satellites, Sensors, Orbit propagation, etc)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate effectively with people in different functions and locations
Strong time management skills that enable on-time project delivery.
Experience with object-oriented computer programming (Java, JavaScript)
Experience with application containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, Rancher) in a cloud environment (AWS, Azure, OpenStack, OpenShift)
Experience performing system analysis, modeling, simulation, and trade studies
Active TS/SCI security clearance

Ability to work remotely
Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington or Washington DC is $70,100 - $123,625. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
