Title: Salesforce Marketing Cloud Engineer
Location: Remote
Required Experience, Education and Skills
- Strong Proficiency with 5+ years of experience in at least 2 or more of the following marketing automation areas:
Salesforce Marketing Cloud Engagement (SFMC/MCE) / Exact Target Marketing Cloud
Salesforce Data Cloud for Marketing
Salesforce Marketing Cloud Personalization (MCP) / Interaction Studio
Salesforce Marketing Cloud Intelligence (MCI) / Datorama
- Experienced in integrating Salesforce Marketing Cloud with other applications such as AWS, Snowflake, AEM and Pega.
- Experienced with data configuration, manipulations, and advanced segmentation, as well as reporting and analytics.
- Experienced as a full-stack engineer for Marketing Cloud creating personalized, dynamic messages, landing pages, and Marketing Cloud scripting languages.
- Proficient in Marketing cloud connectors, data extensions, integration with external systems (API), and knowledge of DMP and data integration.
- Advanced proficiency in SQL for data extraction, transformation, and analysis
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming
- 5+ years' experience & proficiency in CSS, XML, JSON, YAML, SOAP, REST.
- Certification in one or more of the following:
Certified Salesforce Marketing Cloud Developer
Certified Marketing Cloud Consultant
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Should be able to conduct peer reviews and advise recommendations or issues and work well with team.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
Experience in writing technical approach and design documentation.
- Perform independent code reviews and write unit/integration test cases to achieve 85% test coverage
- Ability to effectively debug and resolve issues and/or defects which may be reported as a result of faults in the production system
- Assist in writing technical approach and design documentation as required
Specific for Marketing Cloud Engagement (for candidates that have experience with MCE)
- Experience with AMPscript, SQL, and HTML for Marketing Cloud development.
- Hands-on experience with Marketing Cloud Email Studio, Automation Studio, and Journey Builder.
- Understanding of data management and segmentation within Marketing Cloud.
- Experience with Marketing Cloud APIs and integration with external systems.
- Knowledge of best practices for email deliverability and compliance within Marketing Cloud.
- Familiarity with Marketing Cloud reporting for campaign performance evaluation.
- Experience with Marketing Cloud scripting languages such as SSJS (Server-Side JavaScript) for advanced customization and automation.
- Familiarity with Salesforce CRM integration with Marketing Cloud for seamless data synchronization and customer journey orchestration.
Specific for Data Cloud (for candidates that have experience with Data Cloud)
- with data modeling, segmentation, and audience targeting within Salesforce Data Cloud.
- with data integration processes and tools for ingesting and syncing data into Salesforce Data Cloud.
- in SQL for data manipulation and querying within Salesforce Data Cloud.
- of Salesforce Marketing Cloud and its integration with Salesforce Data Cloud for personalized marketing campaigns.

Specific for Marketing Cloud Personalization (for candidates that have experience with MCP)
- Strong technical experience in building Personalization Experiences with Interaction Studio
- Knowledge of Einstein Recipes for Product Recommendations & User Affinity Segmentation
- Strong experience with Front end web development languages and libraries (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
- Knowledge of Marketing Cloud Development languages (AMPScript, SQL, HTML)
- Knowledge of Marketing Cloud Email & Journey Development (Email Studio, Automation Studio, Journey Builder)
- Build integrations between Salesforce and external applications using REST, SOAP APIs, oAuth and Single Sign-On.
