Position Overview:
The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) is seeking an experienced Senior Dynamics 365 Developer with strong technical expertise in Microsoft s Power Platform, including Dynamics 365, PowerApps, Power Automate, Power Pages, and Dataverse.
The ideal candidate will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise business solutions using Microsoft technologies while collaborating closely with business stakeholders and IT teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Expertise in Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement particularly the Customer Service module.
  • Perform customization, configuration, development, deployment, and support of Dynamics 365 solutions.
  • Lead requirements gathering, fit-gap analysis, design, configuration, implementation, testing, and documentation activities.
  • Develop new web components using .NET, SQL, Azure, Power Platform (Dynamics 365, Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse), and C#.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to Dynamics 365; document solutions and coordinate fixes with IT teams.
  • Maintain strong knowledge of Microsoft s licensing models for Dynamics 365 and Power Platform.
  • Ensure adherence to best practices and assist in defining governance strategies for platform usage.
  • Prepare mockups/prototypes and propose solutions that meet business requirements.
  • Function as a liaison between business and IT, managing issue tracking, escalation, and resolution.
  • Assist customers in determining the best-fit solutions across Dynamics 365, PowerApps, and Power Automate.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of processes and policies within the Business Enablement Services program.
  • Develop technical documentation, recommendations, and usage guidelines.
  • Participate in Agile SDLC processes and team collaboration activities.
  • Preferred: Experience with DevOps for Power Platform (Power Pipelines/ALM Accelerator).
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
