job summary:





Background



The Agency is responsible for interpreting state mandates such as rules or statutes in addition to the FBI CJIS Security policy and drafting appropriate policies, procedures or implementations to comply with those rules as it relates to the Customer's ecosystem. The information security team researches, troubleshoots, provides support and configures security controls daily.



Description of Major Duties & Deliverables



The customer requires the services of one Security Analyst to work under the direction of the Network Supervisor to assist in developing Continuity of Operation (COOP) and Disaster Recovery (DR) plans for all identified agency systems. The Security Analyst is expected to work with our staff to perform research, policy creation, conduct tabletop exercises and support staff in transferring knowledge in these areas.



Security Analyst responsibilities include:




  • Establishing and continuously enhancing the COOP programs, plans and processes in conjunction with the Information Security Manager.


  • Establishing and continuously enhancing the DR programs, plans and processes for in conjunction with the Information Security Manager.


  • Establishing and continuously enhancing the Risk Management programs, plans, and processes in conjunction with the Information Security Manager.


  • Research mandates, regulations and rules for Information Security requirements for the agency.


  • Conduct interviews and information gathering meetings.


  • Lead tabletop exercises relating to COOP, Risk Management and DR in conjunction with the Information Security Manager.


  • Establish applicable security policies and best practices.







Mandatory Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:




  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or other related field or equivalent work experience;


  • Minimum of 5 years of IT work experience with demonstrated knowledge in architecture design, software development, database management systems and systems integration in multi-platform environments.


  • Experience drafting policies, disaster recovery and continuity of operations plans.


  • Experience in information gathering sessions for technical requirements and leading technical tabletop exercises.
