Job Details

Job Title: A/V Technician

Location: Bothell, WA

Job Purpose:

The A/V Technician plays a key role in supporting the collaboration and audiovisual needs of an assigned client site. This is a client-facing role, requiring a professional demeanor and a strong commitment to customer service. The technician will work closely with the Site Lead and fellow team members to provide reliable, efficient A/V support and ensure smooth meeting experiences.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver outstanding customer service to clients and end-users.

  • Support collaboration technologies, including:

    • Microsoft Teams

    • Meetup devices

    • Owl video devices

    • Webex

    • Zoom

  • Assist users with:

    • Scheduling meetings involving A/V technology

    • Requesting technical support

    • Basic operation of conferencing tools

  • Troubleshoot Level 1 technical issues:

    • Replace basic equipment

    • Swap cables and check connections

    • Perform fundamental diagnostics

  • Escalate unresolved issues appropriately and follow documented processes.

  • Perform scheduled weekly room checks and quarterly preventative maintenance on A/V systems.

  • Manage and update support tickets in the client s Incident Management System.

  • Submit standard reports on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis as required.

  • Comply with all internal policies, including:

    • Timekeeping and attendance

    • Overtime authorization

    • Leave requests

  • Follow all client-specific (BMS) policies and procedures.


Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience:

    • 1 3 years working with A/V equipment

    • 1 3 years troubleshooting technical issues

    • 1 3 years in a client-facing or customer service role

  • Technical Knowledge:

    • Basic understanding of IP networking

    • Familiarity with A/V signal flow concepts

  • Personal Attributes:

    • Strong communication and problem-solving skills

    • Ability to work independently and in a team

    • Commitment to professionalism in a customer service environment


Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs

  • Comfortable walking and standing for extended periods

  • Ability to climb ladders up to 10 feet (3 meters)

  • Willingness to travel within Washington State (local only, no overnight stays)
