Job Title: Power Platform Lead

Location: Lansing, MI (Hybrid)

Duration: 12+ Months

Job Description:

We are seeking a Power Platform Lead to oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of applications within the Microsoft Power Platform. The ideal candidate will collaborate with developers and stakeholders to design and support scalable, secure solutions that align with organizational standards. This role will focus on solution architecture, data governance, environment management, and the adoption of Power Platform tools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Management:
    Design data structures, assign permissions, manage data flows, enforce security, and integrate with other systems.
  • Application Lifecycle Management:
    Manage app/flow development and deployment, oversee solution promotion between environments, and enforce version control and backup protocols.
  • Environment Management:
    Coordinate with enterprise admins to manage environments, assign licenses and roles, monitor usage/capacity, and ensure configurations meet standards.
  • Governance & Documentation:
    Enforce policies, conduct log reviews, monitor performance, stay updated on best practices, and document guidelines for developers and users.
  • Support & Troubleshooting:
    Provide support to business and technical users, resolve issues with apps and flows, and address performance and security concerns.
  • Collaboration & Communication:
    Work with stakeholders to gather requirements, communicate with teams and users, and encourage Power Platform adoption.

Qualifications:

  • 4+ years in Power Apps administration (Canvas/model-driven apps, deployment, permissions).
  • 4+ years working with Dataverse (data modeling, security roles, import/export).
  • 3+ years with Power Automate (flow triggers/actions, connection and gateway management).
  • 3+ years with Azure Active Directory / Entra ID (user/group management, authentication).
  • 2+ years with Power BI (workspace and dataset management, report sharing/security).
  • 2+ years in Power Platform governance (environment strategy, DLP policies, auditing).
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written/verbal communication.
  • Flexibility to manage changing priorities and fast-paced environments.
  • Strong customer service orientation.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with Git and configuration management for Power Platform.
  • PowerShell scripting for automation.
  • Power Pages experience (deployment, security, Dataverse integration).
  • Microsoft Power Platform certifications (e.g., Functional Consultant Associate).
