Job Title: JD Edwards (JDE) HR/Payroll Consultant Canada Payroll (Contract)

Location: Remote/Hybrid Candidates must reside in Canada or be legally entitled to work in Canada. Travel to client divisions may be required occasionally.

Duration: Contract (initial three months (minimum) with potential for extension up to one year)

About the Client:
Our client is a large, multi-division organization operating across Canada. Each division relies on Oracle JDEdwards EnterpriseOne for HR, Payroll, and Finance. To support ongoing system enhancements and ensure compliance with Canadian payroll legislation across divisions, they are seeking an experienced JDEdwards HR/Payroll consultant with deep knowledge of Canadian payroll processes and union/non-union rules.

What will you be doing?

  • Collaborate with HR, payroll, and finance stakeholders in multiple divisions to gather business requirements, particularly for Canadian payroll rules and collective bargaining agreements.
  • Configure and optimize the JDEdwards Payroll and HR modules to support union and non-union pay rules, provincial taxes, CPP/EI contributions, overtime calculations, and deductions.
  • Integrate payroll with Time & Attendance, benefits, and financial modules; develop or enhance interfaces with other divisional systems.
  • Design and execute functional and end-to-end testing to validate payroll runs and ensure gross-to-net accuracy, statutory holiday, and vacation pay compliance.
  • Troubleshoot payroll issues and perform rootcause analysis, coordinate tax updates, year-end reporting, and system upgrades across divisions.
  • Develop documentation (functional specifications, configuration guides, training materials) and train HR/payroll staff and technical teams in multiple business units.
  • Provide ongoing support and recommend process improvements to streamline payroll operations across the organization.

We d love to hear from you if you have:

  • At least 5years of hands-on experience with JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Payroll and HR modules, including configuration and support of Canadian payroll.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Canadian payroll rules, provincial tax codes, and CRA payroll area codes.
  • Experience in configuring union and non-union pay rules, multiple pay rates, union dues, and benefits administration.
  • Proficiency with JDEdwards tools (Design Tools, BIPublisher, Crystal Reports, or SSRS) and SQL reporting.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills; ability to translate business requirements into system solutions and explain complex payroll concepts to non-technical users.
  • Bachelor s degree in IT, Business, HR, Finance, or a related field; Oracle JD Edwards 9.2 certification is an asset.
  • Must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident and able to pass a background check.
