Genesis10 is currently seeking an Application Programmer with our client in the financial industry located in Jersey City, NJ and Plano, TX. This is a 12 + month contract position.

Responsibilities:
- Enhance and manage our existing applications using the latest standards, methodologies, and frameworks
- Understand and convert macro level requirements into actionable tasks
- Understand the continuous integration and continuous deployment lifecycle
- Understand threat modeling concepts and how to implement them
- Lead junior developers (associates) and contractors on design, development and code reviews
- Appreciation for clean and well documented code
Requirements:
- 8+ years' experience with the required skills listed below:
- Be comfortable with both front-end and back-end coding languages, development frameworks and third-party libraries
- 7+ years' of overall IT experience
- Angular and/or React
- Solid Java programming language experience
- Writing HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Being up on latest practices is a must, e.g., HTML5, CSS3, and ECMAScript 6 (minimum)
- Experience with Spring framework, Spring Boot and Spring MVC
- Familiarity with a relevant and globally supported framework both front-end and back-end, if necessary (e.g., React)
- Thorough understanding of user experience and possibly even product strategy
- Experience implementing testing platforms and unit tests
- Fundamental knowledge of IT Service Management/ITIL processes and tools
- Proficiency with Git
- Experience with mobile responsive designs
- Experience with Material, Bootstrap or Telerik Components
- Experience transitioning applications from legacy UI technologies (AngularJS) to modern web frameworks (React or Angular)
- Experience transitioning application back end from a monolithic framework
- Good understanding of Oracle database and query tuning in OracleDesired skills:
