Role: TestComplete Automation Engineer

Location: Houston TX Need Locals

Rate: $45/Hr

Visa: Any Visa No OPT

Experience: 7+ Years

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and enhance automation frameworks using TestComplete (Web, Desktop, and Mobile).

Develop robust, reusable test scripts using JavaScript, VBScript, or Python within TestComplete.

Collaborate closely with development teams to understand application logic and ensure optimal automation coverage.

Perform functional, regression, and integration testing through automation.

Demonstrate strong database knowledge to support end-to-end validation.

Take ownership of existing automated test scripts currently under development and continue enhancing them going forward.

Integrate automated tests within CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or similar).

Utilize cloud-based testing platforms (BrowserStack, LambdaTest, etc.) for cross-browser and cross-device validation.

Apply shift-left testing principles to identify defects early in the development lifecycle.

Maintain comprehensive documentation of automation design, test cases, and execution results.

Collaborate with QA and DevOps teams to ensure high-quality, reliable releases.

Required Skills

Minimum 3+ years of hands-on experience in TestComplete.

At least 5 years of total experience in test automation.

Proficiency in JavaScript, VBScript, or Python for scripting automated tests.

Strong background in designing modular, data-driven, and keyword-driven frameworks.

Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automation integration.

Experience with API testing using tools such as ReadyAPI or Postman (preferred).

Excellent analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.

Strong communication and team collaboration abilities.

Good to Have

Familiarity with BDD tools like Cucumber or Behave.

Experience with version control systems (Git, Bitbucket).

Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
