Title: Materials Manager


Location: Boston, MA 02210-2680


Pay Rate: $40/hr


Duration: 9 months



Day To Day



  • Perform complex analyses to identify demand-supply gaps, determine optimal safety stock levels, and calculate accurate forecasts.

  • Identify potential inventory excess and obsolescence and develop mitigation strategies.

  • Collaborate with and influence procurement, manufacturing, and logistics teams to streamline processes and resolve business challenges and risks.

  • Manage demand, supply, and inventory planning and tactical execution for warehouse robotics equipment.


Must Haves



  • Bachelor s degree in Business, Operations, Supply Chain Management, Engineering or a related field.

  • 7+ years of experience in high-volume manufacturing operations or a sourcing environment.

  • 7+ years of direct experience in supplier/supply chain management.

  • Knowledge and experience with Continuous Improvement and Six Sigma methodologies.

  • Knowledge of manufacturing supply chain and operations industry.

  • Experience with MS Excel, SQL, and visualization tools.

  • Working knowledge of supply chain planning and execution concepts.

  • Demonstrated ability in Demand Supply Gap Analysis.

  • Proven experience in Program/Stakeholder Management.


Plusses



  • Master s degree.

  • Familiarity with world-class planning and forecasting methods and tools.

  • Creating dashboards

  • Extensive negotiation experience with global suppliers with a proven track record in cost reduction.

  • Strong analytical skills and comfort pulling data and analyzing directly from databases (i.e. cost modeling, supply analysis).

  • Knowledge of Oracle ERP and Agile.

  • SQL - tableau

  • Excel: pivot tables, horizontal planning (when to re-order), MRP planning (can be taught)

  • Plus: create dashboards
