Position: Senior Data /BI Engineer
Location: Hoover, Alabama / Atlanta, GA / Charlotte, NA (3 Days onsite)

Job Overview:
Must have: Power BI, data visualization, Python
Nice to have - snowflake, process mapping, financial industry
Responsibilities:
  • Create reports that are valuable, readable, and presentable to stakeholders.
  • Prepare visual reports and presentations to communicate analysis to management.
  • Interpret, analyze, and provide insights to teams and managers to determine operational impacts, trends, and opportunities.
  • Perform data analysis to support data automation initiatives.
  • Create and maintain databases to classify and store information effectively.
  • Complete day-to-day deliverables and ad-hoc data reports to support business needs and projects.
  • Ensure compliance by performing quality data audits, mining, and management.
  • Monitor data and analytics trends and seek opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Offer guidance to junior analysts, ensuring proper training and tools are provided.
  • Partner with the centralized Data Governance team to implement and support data governance and data quality requirements.

Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, Statistics, or a related field with four (4) years of experience in a data analytics or related role.
  • OR Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, Statistics, or a related field with six (6) years of experience in a data analytics or related role.

Preferences:
  • Experience utilizing analytical software such as Structured Query Language (SQL), Statistical Analysis System (SAS), SAS Enterprise Miner, and applicable Microsoft Office applications.
  • Working knowledge of business intelligence software (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).

Skills and Competencies:
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).
  • Strong verbal, written communication, and organizational skills.
  • Strong work ethic and self-motivation.

Required Skills: Python, Power BI, SQL, process mapping & documentation.

Preferred Skills: Snowflake, Snowpark.

Candidate Locations: Birmingham, AL; Atlanta, GA; Charlotte, NC.
