This is a direct hire position, 3rd party candidates will not be considered


This is onsite 5x days a week in San Diego, CA, no exceptions


Must have 7+ years of prior experience in Banking or FinTech; candidates who do not meet this requirement will not be considered


The selected candidate will eventually be a lead for a team of 4-5 architects, with a focus on hands-on technical expertise and strong leadership (direct or indirect).


Must-Haves:



  • 10+ years total

  • Prior experience in Banking/FinTech (7+ years of experience)

  • Need to have lead experience. This role is the hiring manager's previous role. Running architecture and data governance. Now needs someone to do the hands-on architecture. 4-5 architects right now. This person will be leading. Delegation.

  • Bachelor's degree required

  • Strong communication and organization skills

  • Entrepreneurial mindset and strong initiative

  • Clear articulation of technical decisions and ideas

  • Experience in both new development and some maintenance work


Preferred Tech Stack:



  • Backend: .NET Core / Java

  • Frontend: Angular

  • Open to candidates strong in architecture, even if their platform differs slightly
