Job Description: Costumer Service Representative (CSR) 

Starting Salary: $50,000 annually, with an additional $4,000 bonus in November.
Location: Austin TX - Local candidates preferred.
Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:15 AM - 4:45 PM (no weekends).

Position Summary: The is a robust and dynamic role with the sole purpose of customer service and building relationships. This role has a transactional banking element as well as a hand in community service, training, relationship building, and social/marketing.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Create an experience: Developing relationships with our customers, acknowledging life events, writing birthday cards and calling customers, remembering details. Create an uplifting and positive experience for customers and employees.

Transactions: Perform daily teller duties, including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, wire verifications, cashing checks, verifying endorsements, and ensuring validity of customer identification and currency.

Customer Service Inquiries: Answer basic customer inquiries regarding interest rates, service charges, and account histories while complying with disclosure requirements, regulations and consumer privacy policies.

Customer troubleshooting: Help customers with account maintenance, address changes, debit card issues and disputes, assist customers with online banking including troubleshooting and learning how to use our products like the mobile app, billpay and mobile deposit.

Compliance: Follow compliance procedures for all daily teller duties.

Community service: Participate in more than a dozen organizations’ opportunities to volunteer.

Events: Set up and serve our community events for employees and customers.
Write ups and run downs: Construct rundowns of the bank’s daily business, including customer news and transactions.

Technical skills & systems: Learn more than a dozen banking systems for transactional, administrative, and customer service work.

Loans: Process draws on lines of credit, set up auto draft loan payments.

Training: Participate in the training process of new hires.

Teaching children’s financial literacy: Educate on the role of the banker, providing a tour that involves the vault, money counters, coin counters, and the till; includes education on compounding interest.

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Ability to connect with and serve customers
  • Attention to detail
  • Technical skills to quickly learn banking systems

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Innate and natural ability to build relationships and represent the bank in the community.
  • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Calm and methodical approach to crisis management.
  • Ability to work autonomously and within a team environment.
  • Technical skills to learn and teach banking systems, policies, regulations
  • Consistent correspondence and follow up with teammates, customers, and management.
