Job Details
Role: Anaplan Tester
Location: San Ramon, CA (Onsite)
Duration: Long-term
Responsibilities:
- Design and execute comprehensive test plans for Anaplan models, dashboards, and integrations, covering functional to user acceptance testing.
- Collaborate closely with Anaplan model builders and business users to translate requirements into robust test scenarios.
- Identify, document, and track defects using bug tracking systems (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps) to ensure timely resolution.
- Validate data integrity within Anaplan models, performing necessary reconciliation.
- Automate testing processes where feasible using Anaplan Connect, APIs, or scripting tools.
- Contribute to sprint planning and continuously improve testing methodologies.
- Conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and maintain thorough testing documentation.
- Stay current with Anaplan features and best practices.
- 2+ years of software testing experience, with a strong focus on Anaplan.
- Proven expertise with the Anaplan platform, including models, modules, formulas, dashboards, and security.
- Strong understanding of data integration concepts and experience testing Anaplan integrations (e.g., Anaplan Connect, APIs).
- Familiarity with various testing methodologies (Agile, Waterfall) and tools.
- SQL proficiency for data validation.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively independently and in a team environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, or equivalent.
Nice to have:
- Anaplan Certified Model Builder or Solution Architect.
- Experience with automated testing frameworks.
- Familiarity with Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) concepts.
- Experience with other EPM/CPM tools (e.g., Adaptive Planning, OneStream).
