RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Maiden, NC that is seeking a BIM Modeler (Electrical).
Summary:
We are seeking an experienced senior SolidWorks (or similar) 3D CAD Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in developing detailed electrical drawings and models, and setting up models for electrical simulations in ANSYS or similar tools. Experience with electrical panel design, wiring harnesses, electronics equipment chassis development, and power distribution systems is preferred. Familiarity with equipment integration in building environments (process engineering, pharmaceuticals, manufacturing, utilities, data centers, or similar) is a distinct advantage. The BIM Modeler will play a crucial role in the design and development of electrical solutions for production environments, working closely with our engineering and operations teams.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop detailed 3D models and electrical technical drawings using SolidWorks
* Collaborate with engineers and other team members to refine electrical product designs
* Prepare 3D models for electrical simulations in ANSYS (or similar) to validate and optimize design concepts
* Create electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and P&ID as needed
* Manage and maintain Bills of Materials (BOM) for electrical components
* Ensure all designs comply with electrical codes, industry standards, and regulations
* Document design processes and maintain accurate records
* Stay updated with the latest features and industry trends related to CAD and electrical design tools
REQUIREMENTS:
* SolidWorks experience
* Revit experience (electrical experience strongly preferred)
* AutoCAD experience
* ETAP experience is highly desirable
Nice to have:
* Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) or BIM 360 experience
* Navisworks experience
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
