Description:
Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior IT Asset Management (ITAM) Analyst to join our team in New York City. This entry-level role is ideal for someone early in their IT career with an interest in asset management, procurement, and IT operations. You will play an important part in tracking, maintaining, and optimizing the lifecycle of hardware and software assets while ensuring compliance with company standards and policies.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist with the tracking and management of IT assets (hardware, software, peripherals) throughout their lifecycle-from procurement to retirement.

Maintain accurate records of all IT assets in the configuration management/asset management system (e.g., ServiceNow, Flexera, or similar).

Perform regular audits and inventory checks of hardware and software assets.

Help ensure compliance with software licensing agreements and corporate IT policies.

Support IT procurement activities including requests, ordering, and vendor coordination.

Respond to asset-related requests from IT support teams and business users.

Generate reports on asset usage, compliance, and inventory levels as requested.

Assist in improving asset management processes and documentation.

Qualifications:

1-2 years of experience in IT support, operations, or asset management (internship or entry-level experience acceptable).

Basic understanding of IT hardware (laptops, desktops, servers, networking equipment) and common enterprise software.

Familiarity with ITSM/ITAM tools such as ServiceNow, Remedy, or similar is a plus.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Good communication and interpersonal skills; able to work effectively in a team environment.

Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and reporting tools.

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
