Product Security Engineer

Position Overview:

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Medical Device Product Security Engineer to play a key role in securing our medical device products throughout their lifecycle. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product development, quality assurance, and regulatory affairs, to ensure that our medical devices meet the highest standards of security and compliance.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct security assessments and risk analyses for medical device products.
  • Design and implement security features for embedded systems and software.
  • Collaborate with product development teams to integrate security measures into the design and development process.
  • Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on medical devices.
  • Stay current with industry trends, emerging threats, and best practices in medical device security.
  • Collaborate with regulatory affairs to ensure compliance with relevant security standards and regulations.
  • Provide guidance and training to internal teams on security best practices.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in medical device security or a related field.
  • In-depth knowledge of security principles and best practices for embedded systems and software.
  • Familiarity with relevant standards and regulations, such as ISO 13485, IEC 62304, and FDA guidance on medical device security.
  • Experience with risk management processes for medical devices.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Relevant certifications, such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), are a plus.
