We are seeking a detail-oriented NDIS Operator to support the administration and operation of the National DNA Index System (NDIS). This role involves system monitoring, data management, and technical support in a secure environment. The ideal candidate will have a background in systems administration and a scientific discipline, with a strong ability to manage multiple tasks and ensure the integrity of sensitive data. Experience with CODIS is highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain systems that support NDIS data processing and functionality.
- Perform system monitoring, log reviews, and data integrity checks to ensure optimal performance and compliance.
- Assist in the administration of secure systems and applications related to NDIS operations.
- Follow standard operating procedures for data entry, validation, and system updates.
- Support CODIS-related workflows and contribute to system troubleshooting and issue resolution.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and stakeholders, ensuring clarity in issue reporting and task coordination.
- Maintain accurate documentation of processes, activities, and compliance logs.
- Ensure strict adherence to security protocols in a Top Secret cleared environment.
Required Qualifications:
- 3 years of experience as a Systems Administrator or in a related technical support role.
- Bachelor s degree in a scientific discipline (B.S. or B.A.).
- Excellent attention to detail, time management, and multitasking capabilities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Active Top Secret Clearance (required).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with CODIS operations or knowledge of forensic DNA database systems.
- Familiarity with law enforcement or criminal justice information systems.
