Overview
We are looking for an experienced L4 Systems Administrator / SRE Contractor to handle critical production operations, troubleshooting, and on-call support across Windows and Linux infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have deep hands-on expertise in system reliability, SQL Server, DNS/DHCP, Email Flow (SMTP), and Directory Services.
This role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Handle L4-level tickets and escalations for infrastructure incidents.
Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and document solutions thoroughly.
Participate in on-call rotations to ensure uptime and reliability.
Troubleshoot and resolve Windows/Linux system issues, DNS/DHCP failures, and Email/SMTP problems.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams for problem resolution and system improvement.
Manage certificates, patching, and environment health checks.
Required Technical Skills
Strong hands-on experience with Windows and Linux/Unix administration.
Expertise in MS SQL Server operations (backups, performance, connectivity).
Deep understanding of DNS, DHCP concepts, and troubleshooting.
Email Flow / SMTP troubleshooting and configuration experience.
Working knowledge of Unix LDAP and Directory Services.
Exchange Online (Office 365) operations and hybrid environment familiarity.
Understanding of Certificates / PKI and SSL/TLS validation.
