You will be part of our finance technology team, tasked with enabling the payment processing functionality of our business. This role is pivotal in constructing new data pipelines and system integrations to ensure our CRM and Consumer Portals offer enhanced customer experience with real-time information and enriched data for millions of transactions, addressing performance and high fault tolerance.
This position is located in our Richmond, VA office and offers a schedule of Monday-Thursday in office and Friday remote.

Responsibilities
- Lead technical discussions and make critical architectural decisions aligned with business goals.
- Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable applications using the Microsoft .NET technology stack, SQL and other data tools.
- Implement solutions using modern architecture paradigms including microservices, and event-driven systems.
- Ensure adherence to SOLID principles, design patterns, and clean coding standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, participate in code reviews, and mentor junior developers.
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical designs and development-ready specifications.
- Working across teams and departments to standardize data transfer and storage
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree required from an accredited, not for profit university or college.
- A track record of commitment to prior employers.
- 7+ years of professional experience in software development using strongly typed languages for server-side processing, such as C#, GoLang, Java or Node with Typespcript
- Must have strong experience with MS SQL Server, including relational database design and performance tuning.
- Able to demonstrate experience building highly scalable software systems in both volume processing and performance
- Familiarity with microservices architecture and containerization using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with AWS or similar cloud platforms (Azure, Google Cloud Platform).
- Strong understanding of CI/CD principles, infrastructure as code, and automated deployment pipelines and source control systems.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
- Experience in unit, performance and automation testing.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with NoSQL databases and API Gateway technologies.
- Familiarity with observability tools like Kibana, Data Dog and other monitoring frameworks
- Hands-on experience with Entity Framework for efficient data modeling and data access.
- Databricks, Python or other ETL processing experience
- Experience with ElasticSearch or OpenSearch
- Payments experience a plus
- Experience with Identity & Access Management, like OAuth, JWT.
- Exposure to serverless computing and event-driven architecture, i ncluding but not limited to RabbitMQ, SQS, Kafka, or Azure Service Bus
