Job Title: Data Modeler (W2 Only No C2C)

Location: Remote

Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced Data Modeler to design and implement high-quality data models that enable curated, reusable, and governed data products. The role focuses on defining source and target state data models, ensuring data quality, and supporting efficient data consumption across the enterprise.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design conceptual, logical, and physical data models for enterprise data products.

  • Create source and target state models aligned with business and technical requirements.

  • Analyze and profile existing data products, including data lineage, quality, and reuse potential.

  • Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to define business rules, KPIs, and consumption needs.

  • Develop and maintain data dictionaries, ER diagrams, and metadata documentation.

  • Define and support data governance standards for certified and reusable data assets.

  • Ensure data models support scalability, performance, and compliance requirements.

Required Skills

  • Data Modeling Tools: ER/Studio, Erwin, or similar tools.

  • Databases: Strong experience with relational and non-relational databases such as Redshift, PostgreSQL, DynamoDB.

  • Data Governance: Expertise in data quality, lineage, metadata, and compliance frameworks.

  • AWS (Preferred): Redshift, Glue, S3.

  • Soft Skills: Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in data modeling and database design.

  • Experience supporting enterprise or cloud-based data platforms is a plus.
