Location: Austin, TX (Hybrid 2 days onsite per week)
Type: Long-Term Contract (1+ year, potential extension)
Eligibility:

Position Overview

We are seeking a senior-level IT Project Manager with strong experience leading enterprise data, analytics, and cloud transformation initiatives. This role oversees multiple complex projects involving data integration, cloud analytics, reporting, and large-scale modernization efforts. The Project Manager will coordinate across IT, data architecture teams, analytics stakeholders, and executive leadership to ensure successful delivery of multi-agency initiatives.

This position requires strong project leadership, excellent communication, deep experience with the full project and software development lifecycle, and proven success managing complex IT programs in a structured environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage multiple enterprise data and integration projects from initiation through delivery.

  • Oversee resource planning, project schedules, and execution timelines.

  • Develop and manage project documentation and deliverables in accordance with established frameworks.

  • Partner closely with Data Architecture, Data Analytics, and IT teams to align technical and business objectives.

  • Facilitate communication across IT, business stakeholders, and external vendors.

  • Develop strategic roadmaps for cloud analytics and data integration initiatives.

  • Oversee procurement efforts, including creation of RFPs defining technical services and deliverables.

  • Support efforts to secure funding and approvals for multi-year program initiatives.

  • Conduct risk management, issue resolution, and project reporting.

  • Lead daily project operations, Agile ceremonies, team meetings, and communication updates.

  • Provide guidance, leadership, and direction to multi-disciplinary project teams.

Minimum Requirements

  • 8+ years of IT project management experience, leading large enterprise technology initiatives.

  • 8+ years of experience in IT, including work with data management, cloud analytics, data warehouses/data lakes, J2EE/web applications, or service-oriented systems.

  • Active PMP certification (required).

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Experience producing clear, concise project documentation and formal deliverables.

  • Team leadership experience, including task assignment, mentoring, and facilitation.

  • Deep experience with project risk management and issue resolution.

  • Full lifecycle experience with PMLC and SDLC methodologies.

  • Budget tracking experience, including cost reporting and forecasting.

  • Hands-on Agile experience, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, daily scrums, retrospectives, and Kanban workflows.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in public health, government, or multi-agency IT environments.

  • Experience managing initiatives involving cloud analytics, data integrations, or enterprise data platforms.

  • Experience overseeing teams in a matrixed organizational structure.

  • Experience with full-cycle project delivery, from planning through deployment.

  • Strong ability to motivate and manage cross-functional IT teams.

  • Experience with access & eligibility programs.
