Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and manage scalable and secure Linux-based infrastructure in compliance with DoD security requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement DevOps processes and automation tools to streamline software development, testing, and deployment.
- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for continuous integration and delivery of software applications.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal uptime and reliability.
- Conduct regular security audits and implement best practices for securing Linux systems and environments.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members on Linux and DevOps best practices.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Extensive experience in Linux system administration and engineering in a DoD or similarly regulated environment.
- Strong proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or Perl.
- Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
- Hands-on experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms, preferably AWS GovCloud or Azure Government.
- Knowledge of DevOps principles and practices, including CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code.
- Security certifications such as Security+, CISSP, or relevant DoD certifications are highly desirable.
