we are a Tier 1 vendor for the City and County of San Francisco for Cloud Services, Staffing Services and Training Services. For this multi-year opportunity with a diverse set of needs to address, we are currently focusing on establishing partnerships with individuals as well as companies who can help us enhance our overall service portfolio, cut lead times, and ultimately help us deliver successfully. Job Description:
A Level I Engineer is a proactive and self-motivated individual, responsible for executing routine tasks outlined in a statement of work with minimal oversight and ensuring adherence to project timelines and deliverables. To be successful in this role, a Level I Engineer will maintain and obtain certifications aligned with industry standards to enhance their expertise. They are expected to utilize problem-solving skills to find effective resolutions and to escalate complex issues promptly. Excellent communication skills are essential for this role, as these individuals will interact with clients regularly.

How you'll make an impact

Have an initial understanding of the most effective and efficient process to get things done with a focus on continuous improvement.
Begin to develop the ability to make sense of complex information to effectively solve problems, reaching out to mentors for guidance when necessary.
Spend 10% of the time focusing on training and fine-tuning skills.
Spend 90% of the time on engagements.
Execute all tasks outlined in the scope of work and follow standard operating procedures with minimal oversight.
Work with clients to analyze and understand their needs and objectives.
Collaborate with senior engineers on more complex engagements.
Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to clients during and after project implementation.
Escalate complex issues to the appropriate teams or engineers as necessary.
Document project progress, issues, and resolutions in a concise and timely manner.
Consistently self-review work to identify and improve approaches for producing high-quality work.

Sales and Client Engagement

Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure satisfaction.
Adhere to availability standards for responding to client inquiries.
Communicate technical concepts effectively to clients.
Identify and communicate cross-sell and up-sell opportunities with the account team across services.

Talent Development

Demonstrate proactive engagement in obtaining and maintaining certifications and cultivating technical proficiency in accordance with industry standards.
Provide input to leadership on needed training and development.
Proactively engage with mentors for assistance and guidance, as necessary.
Shadow colleagues and actively participate in practical exercises within the company's lab while not assigned to an engagement.

What we're looking for

Currently holds a Top-Secret clearance TS/SCI with a full-scope poly required.
Experience operating in classified environments.
Bachelor's degree in a related area or at least 4 years of related work experience.
Splunk industry certifications.
Strong background with Splunk Enterprise and Splunk Enterprise Security.
Understanding of identity, SIEM, cybersecurity, and infrastructure concepts.
Understanding of governance and compliance, specifically with FAR, DFARs, CUI and CMMC.
Understanding of FedRAMP and IL constructs.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team.
Ability to clearly communicate complex messages to a variety of audiences.
Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
Willingness to travel to meet client needs.
