Luna Data Solutions, Inc. is currently seeking an IT Auditor to support our client in Austin, TX. This role is essential in supporting cybersecurity analysis and IT audit work that ensures the security, integrity, and reliability of the client's systems and networks. This is a long-term contract which can be worked remotely within the State of Texas, however you MUST currently reside in Texas and be willing and able to come onsite with 72 hours notice when needed.


Description of Services

The IT Auditor will:

  • Conduct cybersecurity and IT audit work to assess internal controls, risks, and vulnerabilities across the client s information technology network.
  • Identify weaknesses in IT systems and develop actionable recommendations to strengthen security and reduce risks.
  • Perform advanced systems analyst tasks, supporting multiple concurrent projects as needed.
  • Prepare audit documentation, risk assessments, reports, and presentations for management and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with IT and business teams to ensure audit findings are communicated clearly and corrective actions are implemented.
  • Perform other duties as required to maintain operational security and compliance.

Minimum Requirements

Candidates must meet or exceed each of the following to be considered

  • 1-3 years of prior work experience executing major components of IT audits, including cybersecurity, cloud-based infrastructure, risk management, application, and third-party management.
  • 1-3 years of prior work experience performing risk assessments, designing audit procedures, analyzing evidence, and documenting processes.
  • 1-3 years of prior work experience building and maintaining client relationships, including delivering audit results through reports and presentations.
  • 1-3 years of prior work experience communicating effectively with team members, clients, and audit leads on issues and audit progress.
  • 1-3 years of prior work experience preparing clear, organized, and complete audit documentation.
  • 1-3 years of prior work experience identifying client expectations and aligning audit activities to meet them.
  • 1-3 years of prior work experience understanding financial, legal, reputational, and technological risks in business operations.
  • 1-3 years of prior work experience planning and prioritizing multiple tasks and projects to deliver quality results.
  • 1-3 years of prior work experience supporting audit administration, including tracking hours, budgets, and deliverables.
  • Current Texas Resident

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of prior work experience conducting system-level risk assessments, identifying threats, and evaluating likelihood and impact.
  • 1-3 years of prior work experience / familiarity with developing, analyzing, and maintaining System Security Plans (SSPs).
  • 1-3 years of prior work experience managing multiple risk and compliance deliverables, deadlines, and documentation across the audit lifecycle.
  • Current resident of the Austin, Texas metropolitan area.
