System Engineering Team Lead

A well known, stable company in Montgomery County is looking to hire a System Engineering Team Lead to join their Infrastructure team. They are looking for a "do-er" who can do hands on engineering and architecture as well as lead a team in projects and day to day tasks. This role is specifically on the Directory Services team which focuses on servers, storage, backups, and virtualization. They are looking for someone who can design and execute projects including VDI implementation, VMware upgrades, and Backup revamps. They are also looking to do migrations to Azure so Cloud experience is highly desired.
In this role you will also be leading Junior Engineers and Administrators and delegating tasks for project work. You will report directly to the VP of Technology and also assist in project planning and training. Required Skills & Experience

• Strong project work with Virtualization, upgrades, implementations, migrations
• Expertise in VMware, vCenter, and vSphere
• Windows Server Expertise, upgrades, builds, migrations
• Strong Storage Experience, SAN upgrades, migrations, etc.
• Experience managing and upgrading backups, Veeam
• Design and Architecture experience for server and virtualization technologies
• Strong experience executing projects, upgrades, migrations, implementations, etc.
• Leadership Experience, mentoring and training staff members
• Project Planning Experience

Desired Skills & Experience

• Azure Cloud Server Experience, project or maintenance
• Experience working with M365 technologies, AD, O365, Intune
