Job Details

Position Summary: This position will report to the Chief Financial Officer and have additional oversight and support from the Sr. Director, Information Technology at the parent company. The role will oversee IT for all locations- two in the St. Louis, MO area and one in Houston, TX. The ideal candidate will be skilled in business relationship management, application & infrastructure management, manufacturing processes and systems, and back-office applications. They will be a partner to all functional teams (Finance, HR, Engineering, Operations, and Sales) to deliver IT services that address the needs of the business. They will own applications and infrastructure and oversee all resources for selecting, implementing and maintaining critical components. This position works closely with the parent company's IT team and 3rd party providers to maintain, improve, and monitor the performance of applications and infrastructure, ensuring positive business outcomes. Given the scope of this business the IT Manager will be quite hands-on regarding the support of all critical systems.

Essential Job Duties:

  • Maintenance and support of infrastructure and network (servers, switches, etc.)
  • Maintenance and support of Microsoft operating systems, Office 365, and other applications
  • Maintenance, support, and oversight for all of the business applications, software and ERP system
  • Maintenance and support of desktops, laptops, printers, and other devices (with the assistance of 3rd party service providers).
  • Develop an overall strategy for IT and where improvements can be made for the organization
  • Develop strategy for security and work with parent company to ensure proper cybersecurity controls are in place
  • Ensure the timely resolution of production interruptions and issues
  • Plan and execute future ERP upgrades and/or implementations.
  • Escalates issues, risks, and changes in a timely, structured manner. Establishes routine communication cadence with key business stakeholders while owning process breakdowns and associated remediations
  • Provide information and periodic updates to support overall IT performance metrics, including monthly project status reporting and quarterly resource planning review
  • Collaborate with business leaders and serve as technical lead for the planning, design, and execution of projects to enable the achievement of business objectives
  • Oversee IT budgeting and planning, including solution roadmaps based on forecasted company needs and objectives
  • Provide IT support and expertise for the review of potential acquisitions and the integration of acquired companies
  • Implement best practices and act as a strategic advisor to drive innovation and continuous improvement
  • Travel required to support other locations (approximately 25%)

Required Education:

  • B.S. in Computer Science (or related field) or 10 years of equivalent experience developing, implementing, or supporting business critical systems

Required Experience:

  • Knowledge of networking, computing platforms, storage, database, security, middleware, network and systems management, and other related infrastructure technologies and best practices
  • Knowledge of ERP and other business applications including maintenance, support, and upgrades (knowledge of Microsoft D365 and/or Macola is a plus)
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity tools, processes, standards, and best practices
  • Manufacturing experience and familiarity with middle-market businesses.
  • Demonstrated success at driving solutions that solve business problems; ability to influence the opinions and approach of cross-functional team members
  • Proven history of developing a high performing team: building trust, delivering feedback/coaching, setting expectations and holding others accountable
  • Positive outlook, strong work ethic, and responsive to internal and external customers and contacts
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach for preventing future issues
  • Ability to communicate technical information to a non-technical audience
