Location: Fort Lee, Virginia

Clearance: Secret

Description:

HigherEchelon is seeking a VTC Technician responsible for the setup, operation, monitoring, and technical support of all Video Teleconferencing (VTC) systems across CASCOM. This role supports daily meetings, classified/unclassified communication events, and command briefings, ensuring reliable audiovisual delivery across supported locations and networks. This position is located at Fort Gregg-Adams, VA, and requires a full-time, on-site presence with an active DoD Secret clearance.

This position is contingent upon contract award.

Job Responsibilities:

Set up and operate VTC systems and audiovisual equipment in support of mission briefings, training, and executive communications.

Coordinate with Government personnel for scheduling, technical preparation, and VTC room readiness.

Support classified and unclassified VTC sessions, including secure bridging and endpoint management.

Troubleshoot real-time technical issues with VTC endpoints, display systems, microphones, cameras, and control systems.

Perform preventive maintenance on AV/VTC hardware and software.

Maintain configuration standards, system logs, and usage metrics.

Escalate recurring or systemic issues to Systems Administration or Network teams with diagnostics.

Provide training to end users on how to operate VTC interfaces and support hybrid meetings.

Maintain awareness of system firmware, patch levels, and DoD-compliant configurations.

Required Skills:

Hands-on knowledge of Cisco, Polycom, or similar VTC platforms.

Experience supporting both SIP and H.323-based conferencing systems and secure bridges.


Must have a Secret security clearance

Desired Skills:

Prior support experience with Army VTC scheduling tools and DISA-approved conferencing tools.

Familiarity with conference room AV integration (Crestron, Extron, HDMI switchers, etc.).

Experience supporting AV/VTC for classified environments including secure handling procedures.

Education and Experience:

High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate degree preferred.

Minimum 3 years of experience supporting VTC systems in a federal or DoD setting.

Certifications required:

CompTIA Security+ (IAT Level II baseline; current)

Certified Technology Specialist (CTS) or equivalent audiovisual certification is a strong plus.
