We are seeking a highly experienced Federal Business Development Executive to lead strategic growth initiatives within the U.S. federal market, with a strong emphasis on IT services and solutions. The ideal candidate will bring deep relationships within federal agencies, a proven track record of winning multi-million-dollar contracts, and a solid technical background that allows them to bridge the gap between customer needs and our solution capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify, qualify, and lead capture efforts on federal IT opportunities (both full and open competitions and set-aside contracts).
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with key decision-makers across federal agencies (e.g., DoD, DHS, GSA, etc.).
- Drive end-to-end business development lifecycle: opportunity identification, qualification, capture strategy, teaming, proposal strategy, and post-award transition.
- Develop account plans and growth strategies tailored to target agencies.
- Collaborate with internal technical, proposal, and delivery teams to shape winning solutions.
- Leverage existing contract vehicles and past performance to position for upcoming opportunities.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and customer meetings.
Required Qualifications:
- 7+ years of successful federal business development experience in the IT sector.
- Proven track record of winning large-scale (> $5M) federal contracts.
- Established relationships with government decision-makers and acquisition professionals.
- Strong understanding of federal procurement processes and vehicles (e.g., GSA, IDIQs, GWACs).
- Technical background degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience in areas such as cybersecurity, cloud services, enterprise IT, or digital transformation is strongly preferred.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
This is a remote position but must live in the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia area
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in or with system integrators and prime contractors.
- Familiarity with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, GovWin, SAM.gov) and pipeline management.
