Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Oracle MDM (Meter Data Management) Consultant to support Exelon's energy operations. The consultant will be responsible for implementing, configuring, and supporting Oracle Utilities Meter Data Management (MDM) solutions. The role involves working closely with business and technical teams to ensure accurate meter data collection, validation, estimation, and processing for utility operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement, configure, and maintain Oracle Utilities MDM to support Exelon's enterprise metering strategy.
  • Perform meter data collection, validation, estimation, editing (VEE), and synchronization with downstream systems (e.g., CIS, Billing, Outage Management, Analytics).
  • Work on MDM integration with other Oracle Utilities applications such as C2M, ODM, and external systems (e.g., AMI, MDMS, SCADA).
  • Support data migration and cleansing activities during MDM implementation and upgrades.
  • Develop and maintain business rules, validation logic, and exception handling processes for meter data.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to analyze requirements and translate them into functional and technical specifications.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve MDM issues, ensuring data accuracy and system stability.
  • Provide production support, performance tuning, and user training/documentation.
  • Participate in system upgrades, patches, and enhancements while ensuring compliance with Exelon's IT and security standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in Oracle Utilities applications, specifically Oracle Meter Data Management (MDM).
  • Strong knowledge of metering systems, AMI, smart meters, and utility business processes.
  • Hands-on experience in VEE rules configuration, usage calculation, and interval data processing.
  • Proficiency in Oracle Database, SQL, and PL/SQL for data analysis and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with MDM integrations (SOA, ODI, Web Services, APIs).
  • Familiarity with Oracle C2M, ODM, CC&B, or other Oracle Utilities products is highly desirable.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
