Job Title: SAP PP Functional Consultant Pharma Industry
Location: Remote- Chicago, IL Preferred
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced SAP PP Functional Consultant to support and enhance our production planning processes within a regulated pharmaceutical environment.
The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in SAP PP module configuration, strong understanding of GMP-compliant manufacturing, and experience integrating with quality and inventory systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the implementation, configuration, and support of SAP PP (Production Planning) module aligned with pharmaceutical manufacturing processes
- Analyze complex business requirements and translate them into SAP solutions, ensuring compliance with FDA and GMP regulations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (QM, MM, WM, SD) to ensure seamless integration across modules
- Configure and maintain Master Data (Material Master, BOMs, Routings, Work Centers) and MRP settings
- Support batch management, serialization, and process orders specific to pharma production
- Facilitate workshops and gather requirements from stakeholders across manufacturing, quality, and supply chain
- Develop functional specifications for custom developments and work closely with ABAP developers
- Conduct unit testing, integration testing, and support user acceptance testing (UAT)
- Provide training and documentation for end-users and support teams
- Troubleshoot issues and provide ongoing support for SAP PP-related processes
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
- 5+ years of experience as an SAP PP Functional Consultant, preferably in the pharmaceutical or life sciences sector
- Strong knowledge of GMP, FDA compliance, and regulated manufacturing environments
- Experience with SAP ECC or S/4HANA
- Familiarity with SAP QM, SAP WM, and SAP APO is a plus
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
