Description:

We have developed an SDN Controller based upon OpenFlow for the Industrial Space.

It s the only one of its kind and is gaining momentum and we re growing the customer base rapidly. I need to start building out that development team.

I have UI devs taken care of, part of the way to the staffing I m after for middleware developers and need to add 1-2 more folks for lower-level network interfacing side of the product.

That s not to say that a person is pigeonholed into just low-level network development, but I need more in that area.

Project Overview:

Client is rapidly expanding its customer base for its proprietary SDN Controller and is building out the development team to support this growth. The UI development team is in place, and middleware development is partially staffed. The current priority is to bring on 1 2 developers focused on low-level network interfacing, with flexibility to contribute across the stack.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain low-level networking components for the SDN Controller.
Work with OpenFlow protocol to manage and control network traffic.
Collaborate with middleware and UI teams to ensure seamless integration.
Contribute to future integration of P4 support as hardware evolves.
Participate in code reviews, testing, and documentation.

Must-Have Skills:

OpenFlow (network protocol) Programming
Strong experience with OpenFlow or similar SDN protocols.
Proficiency in FreeBSD, C/C++, and or PHP.
Solid understanding of network protocols and systems programming.
Experience with low-level network development and interfacing.

Nice-to-Have:

Familiarity with P4 programming language.
Experience in industrial or embedded systems environments.
Exposure to SDN controller architecture and design.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

5+ years of relevant development experience.
Comfortable working independently in a remote environment.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work across teams.
