ECS is seeking a Senior Data Lead to work in our Remote office .

Job Description:

ECS plays an integral role in providing Data Architecture support for the Army Global Force Information Management (GFIM) Program. There are 6 domains in the Business Mission Area (BMA) of the Army, and our team provides critical support for both implementation of the GFIM system and documentation and strategy around the Deploy to Redeploy and Retrograde (D2RR) process under the Training and Readiness (T&R) Domain. The primary objective of the Program is designing the GFIM Objective Environment (GFIM OE). The GFIM OE consists of sunsetting 15 legacy systems, which currently support Force Managers' ability to plan, design the force, mobilize forces, and retrograde forces as needed. As the Senior Data Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting the Data Steward Management Team (DSMT) for the T&R Domain and the GFIM Program.

Salary Range: 120,000 - 180,000

Job Description:

The Senior Data Engineer will be responsible for developing and implementing data governance policies and procedures to ensure the accuracy, security, and integrity of an organization's data. You will work closely with stakeholders across the organization and business teams, to establish data standards and ensure adherence to data policies. You will develop and review procedures to ensure they comply with company and DoD/Army standards.

Required Skills:
  • Minimum 10+ years of related experience.
  • Experience with leading meetings and developing presentations and briefings for use by senior leaders.
  • Planning, designing, and managing the implementation of Data Governance capabilities (creating and managing core metadata, documenting rules and standards, managing data quality issues, executing operational data governance activities).
  • Conducting data quality assessments and implementing data quality improvements.
  • Developing and maintaining data dictionaries and data lineage documentation.
  • Providing training and support to end-users on data governance policies and procedure.
  • Ability to develop strategy documents, roadmaps, plans, socialize concepts, develop business cases, liaise with teams for planning and implementation.
  • Experience conducting data governance activities within Collibra and Vantage.
  • Modeling and reporting experience with modeling software (such as EKR ARIS, Erwin, MagicDraw, UML Designer, etc).
  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Clearance: Secret Clearance.


Desired Skills:
  • Experience working within the DOD Enterprise Cloud and/or Army Cloud Environment (cARMY).
  • Practical experience on architecture and deployment of software components into cloud-based infrastructures, Amazon Web Services.
