Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior System Administrator who will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of our organization's IT infrastructure. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability, security, and efficiency of our systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and Implementation: Design, deploy, and maintain VMWare virtualization infrastructure to support our organization's computing needs. Implement and manage Nimble Storage solutions to ensure high-performance storage capabilities. Design and configure Microsoft 365 (M365) environment to optimize productivity and collaboration. Deploy and manage Azure cloud services to support our organization's digital initiatives.
  • System Administration: Perform day-to-day system administration tasks such as monitoring system performance, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring system availability. Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls across various platforms. Implement and maintain backup and disaster recovery solutions to ensure data integrity and availability.
  • Security Management: Implement and enforce security best practices across all systems and platforms to safeguard against potential threats and vulnerabilities. Monitor security logs and conduct regular security audits to identify and address security risks. Collaborate with the security team to implement and maintain security policies and procedures.
  • Documentation and Training: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for system configurations, procedures, and best practices. Provide training and support to other IT staff members to ensure efficient operation and maintenance of systems.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, plan system upgrades, and implement new technologies. Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide updates on system status, project progress, and upcoming changes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in system administration, with a focus on VMWare, Nimble Storage, M365, and Azure.
  • Strong knowledge of virtualization technologies, storage systems, cloud services, and productivity suites.
  • Experience in designing, implementing, and managing complex IT infrastructures.
  • Solid understanding of security best practices and compliance standards.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Relevant certifications such as VMware Certified Professional (VCP), Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, etc.
  • Experience with scripting and automation tools (e.g., PowerShell, Ansible).
  • Experience with network administration and security technologies.
  • Familiarity with ITIL framework and practices.
