Position: Sr. Network Software Engineer

Location: Sierra Vista, AZ

Duration: 6 months Contract to Hire(CTH)

Clearance: Secret

  • Program Summary:
  • Army's global wide area network and security infrastructure. This role involves supporting a large and complex network migration and operations effort for the U.S. Army.
    • Primary Responsibilities:
    • Operate and maintain secure network solutions for the U.S. Army.
    • Support 24x7x365 AGUN operations, providing updates to the Global Cyber Center (GCC).
    • Conduct standard policy/configuration changes and pre-approved remediation workflows.
    • Manage and triage service tickets in JIRA Service Desk and GCC ServiceNow.
    • Provide situational awareness and status updates on ticket resolution.
    • Escalate tickets to higher tier teams as needed.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to assess legacy environments and provide Tier III support.
    • Identify and implement network optimization strategies.
    • Basic Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree with 8+ years' experience or Master's with 6+ years (additional experience may substitute for degree).
    • Active DoD IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+).
    • Experience supporting Cisco SDWAN.
    • Knowledge of SDN concepts.
    • Experience with VMware, Red Hat, InfoVista.
    • Familiarity with Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto, Dell, AppGate.
    • Experience with ServiceNow, LAN/WAN, BGP, TCP/UDP, IPSec, VPN, Routing (L2/L3), Firewalls.
    • Familiarity with Palo Alto Panorama, Cisco Prime, Cisco DNA, Junos Space.
    • Experience with SFTP, SSH, SCP, SNMP, NTP.
    • Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.
    • Preferred Qualifications:
    • CCNP or equivalent.
    • Linux shell scripting.
    • GitLab CI/CD pipeline development.
    • Experience with JIRA, Confluence.
    • Familiarity with NetSecOps tools: salt, git, Ansible, Terraform, Puppet.
    • Network performance tools: SNMP, NETMON, LiveAction.
    • Experience with Netflow, Elastic, Kafka, Grafana, Prometheus, Nexus Repo.
    • Expertise in designing and improving complex enterprise networks.
    • Knowledge of Army network security requirements
