QA Lead Supply Chain & Retail Systems

Location: Katy, Houston, TX - 5 days onsite

Contract: 12-18 Months+

This role combines technical QA leadership, hands-on testing, and domain-driven validation, ensuring that all supply chain and retail systems deliver seamless operational performance and superior customer experience. We are seeking a seasoned QA Lead with strong Supply Chain domain expertise to lead quality assurance initiatives across our retail supply chain applications. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of end-to-end retail supply chain processes procurement, inventory management, warehouse operations, logistics, order fulfillment, and vendor systems along with proven experience designing and executing enterprise QA strategies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead QA planning, strategy, and execution for retail supply chain systems, including ERP, WMS, OMS, TMS, and vendor integrations.
  • Collaborate with product managers, business analysts, and developers to translate functional requirements into detailed test strategies and test cases.
  • Design and manage automation frameworks for regression and end-to-end testing (preferably using tools like Selenium, Cypress, or Tosca).
  • Perform root-cause analysis and work with cross-functional teams to resolve issues efficiently.
  • Drive quality metrics and continuous improvement within the QA function.
  • Ensure traceability between business requirements, test cases, and defects for full coverage.
  • Oversee integration testing between upstream (e.g., POS, ecommerce) and downstream (e.g., WMS, logistics) systems.
  • Mentor QA engineers, enforce best practices, and ensure compliance with enterprise QA processes.
  • Work with data teams to validate supply chain data integrity, reconciliation, and performance KPIs.
  • Support UAT planning, coordination, and execution with business stakeholders.

Required Skills & Experience

8 12 years of overall QA experience, with 3 5 years in a QA Lead role.

Strong supply chain domain expertise deep knowledge of retail planning, inventory, logistics, order management, and vendor systems.

Experience testing retail enterprise platforms such as SAP SCM, Manhattan WMS, Blue Yonder, Oracle RMS, or similar.

Proven experience designing QA frameworks and automation strategies for complex, integrated environments.

Hands-on experience with automation tools: Selenium, Cypress, Postman, RestAssured, or Tosca.

Strong knowledge of API testing, data validation (SQL), and performance testing concepts.

Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab).

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Experience working in a retail or ecommerce environment is essential.
