ERP Business Analyst
Introduction

The ERP Business Analyst is responsible for working on ERP projects with the Director of Solutions Architecture, PM, and IT resources to coordinate program/project activities across the organization. This role involves functional and technical documentation, testing, training, deployment, and transition to the Applications Support team.

Responsibilities
  • Assist IT and business resources in the development of business process flows, discovery/scoping, design documents, test cases, and standard operating procedures.
  • Responsible for functional documentation, testing, deployment, and transition to the Applications Support team.
  • Document functional specifications for system enhancements, bug fixes, and communicate requirements to the IT development team.
  • Provide quality assurance and testing on newly developed customizations and solutions before deploying to the user group.
  • Work closely with Integrations and data team during the development and testing phases of a project.
  • Provide documentation and training to end user groups on existing functionality and newly developed enhancements.
  • Participate in discussions to determine project timelines, scope, and resources required to support enterprise projects related to core ERP and integrated applications.
  • Maintain relationships with key business owners and subject matter experts to regularly review project documentation, priorities, and milestones.
  • Monitor and document status on project progress - escalate potential risks and help resolve issues when necessary.
  • Ensure open communication across all functional areas supporting project activities, including corporate and operational stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in IT, Business, or a related field.
  • Prior experience with Agility, Epicor P21, MS Dynamics, Infor, NetSuite, Sage, or similar ERP system relevant to the commercial distribution industry.
  • Familiarity with SQL or similar ad-hoc query and report building tools.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Smartsheet or similar tools.
  • Prior experience in the distribution industry.
  • Advanced skills using Microsoft Office 365 product suite, including Visio & PowerPoint.
